Lance Roylo started Never Ranked after watching traditional SEO agencies sell rankings on a results page that fewer people read every quarter. AI search engines don't rank pages. They cite sources. The gap between what agencies were selling and what the models actually needed was wide enough to build a company in.
Before Never Ranked, he built Montaic, an AI-native listing content platform for real estate agents. Same thesis: if the model layer changed, the tooling had to change with it.
